(1) The Tz Yun III SATA cable-- I bought it more than a month ago but did not have time to audition carefully. Last night I finally compared it with the green label SATA I was using on the Taiwan P900 WF3 OS with RME MADI FX analog using it to supply the hard disc containing data only not system. And it was a real surprise. The sound just gets more musical, more coherent and more enjoyable. The sound is more rich but not slow. That gives a much more enjoyable sound. The contrasts are better conveyed too. And the improvement is in all areas and not subtle. And this is in comparison to his already excellent sounding Green label. This is a great achievement and should be considered for all areas requiring a SATA cable. The only drawback is its not inexpensive price.
(2) Aluminium block---- The surprise is even more. It is just an aluminium block with some screw holes for anchoring the SSD onto. And the improvement is dramatic. Better image, finer details and microdynamics much better revealed with no unwanted effects. The improvement would be similar to Tsz Yun but concentrated mainly over the image, soundstage and microdynamics. The basic principle is just less vibration effects on the SSD. With the improvement that it brings I would recommend using this aluminium blocks in all SSD and hard discs.
